Taking a short break and noticing our senses, during the day is a really useful habit to do.
As we know, focusing on our breath and breathing slowly and deeply has a calming effect on our brains and nervous system. Research shows that it also starts to calm and clear our minds, slow our heart rate down and lower stress hormones in our bodies. Sounds good doesn't it?
In this practice, we'll be noticing some of our senses to help us to focus our attention on the experiences going on around us. In paying attention to our senses through mindfulness can help us to notice what is happening in the present moment.
In this way, it can help to reduce the chatter in our minds and make some space to just experience the present moment ‘right now’. Shall we try?

In this exercise, we're going to be using a few of our senses to practise mindfulness. Are you ready to practise with us?
