1. Always be kind, forgiving and gentle with yourself as you practise mindfulness. There is nothing to aim for and nothing to strive for, every feeling is welcome. Be kind with your mind.

2. Please remember that your mind will often drift away and thoughts keep popping up when you practise, that's ok, and that's normal. Each time we notice it's drifted off, we bring it back each time to focus our attention again. No need to be angry or frustrated with ourselves.

3. The more you practise, the more benefits you are likely to notice later on, start gently at first and build your skills slowly.

4. There's no right or wrong way to practise mindfulness.

5. Mindfulness is about not searching for any particular feeling. This means we don't use mindfulness to seek relaxation, nor to feel calm or good whenever we practice. Every feeling is welcomed in mindfulness, and we learn to notice these as they come and go. This can be hard to practise at first, but it is important to remember.
